Every calculator on HowMuchIs.tools operates as a client-side JavaScript application. This means:
- When you enter your weight, your location, your health conditions, or your financial situation into any of our calculators, that information stays in your browser's memory
- No form submission occurs — your inputs are not sent over the internet to any server
- When you close the browser tab or navigate away, the data is gone — it is never stored anywhere
- The results you see are generated locally on your device, not retrieved from our servers
This architecture was a deliberate choice. Calculator tools in categories like medical dosing, health conditions, and dental costs involve sensitive personal information. We designed our tools so that this data never leaves your device.
Technical note: You can verify this by opening your browser's developer tools, going to the Network tab, and observing that no data is transmitted when you interact with our calculators. All computation occurs via in-page JavaScript with no external API calls for calculation purposes.
4. Cookies & Tracking
HowMuchIs.tools does not use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking cookies, or cross-site tracking of any kind.
If we use analytics (such as privacy-focused analytics like Plausible or Fathom), these tools are configured to:

Because our calculators process all inputs locally in your browser and transmit nothing to our servers, the primary security responsibility for your calculator inputs lies with your own device and browser security — not with our infrastructure.
